This is a typical work look for me. Black pants. top and cardi. I'm wearing pearls and loafers. I love loafers since I have almost given up high heels. I like tis look but I'm in an investment firm and suits really are the best option. I'm getting better because I wore lipstick this week. Today, Sunday, I gave myself a manicure and I plan to wear eyeliner and lipstick this week.

XXXXXXXX Hi Pretty Fearless People, First the photo stuff. I'm wearing a men's tweed blazer I got at Diversity Thrift Shop here in Richmond. I paid $1.00. Everything else are things I have had for years. My favorite piece of this look is the beautiful brooch my BFF, Michelle, gave me for my birthday years ago. I love it. See below for more photos of this look. I have a plan to blog myself back to a place where I once was. I last posted in January 2013. The first part of the year I planned to have a breast reduction. I was approved by insurance and scheduled to have surgery on May 28th. I had cleaned my house, bought new pajamas to recover in. I was ready for the big day. By the way I had lost 30 pounds and went from a 42 H cup to a 38 H cup. Only a scalpel was gonna help my shoulder, neck and back pain. Well, the universe had a whole 'nother plan for me. On Monday May 20th I had a heart attack. Yep, 7 days before I was scheduled to have the breast reduction. I ended up in the hospital with something they call "The Widow Maker". No chest pain. No arm pain and the EMTs said my EKG was normal on the way to the ER. Anyhoo, next I was in the cardiac cath lab cracking jokes with the doctors and the staff and the next thing I know the room gets very quiet. I knew then that something was pretty bad. The next morning I was in the operating room having a double bypass performed. My family and friends showed me how much love and support I have in the world. My coworkers did so much and gave so much to us. I work for the best company in the world. All of this is what we all want, right? Well I can't get it together. I'm taking the month of December to do something I used to love so much. That is sharing my life with the world. Along the way I'll share more. I'm also trying to polish up my fashion game so Stay Tuned.... XXXXXXXXX

If anyone is still reading this blog, I plan to blog for the month of December. I want to test the waters again. I haven't posted here since January of this year. 2013 was an eventful year for me. I will elaborate in future posts. Please check back here in December. If no one is still checking for this blog, it's OK. I expect to post for me. Kind of like a science project...Stay Tuned. Linda,

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one...the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy."
— George Bernard Shaw

I have stepped outside and away from this space. Pretty Fearless was my baby. I wnated so much for her. I feel like I let her down. I needed to re-group...again. I sold all of my clothes on ebay with the exception of anything black. I thought that would help me get a perspective on my wardrobe and figure out what my real style is. Well, that is still up for grabs. I guess I just figured out that I like all kinds of styles. Sort of like playing dress up and being different characters every day. My intention is to see where that leads me. All I know for sure is that I am a girl who loves fashion. Pretty Fearless is my sort of personal place to play with these things.
Black and White looks good at every price range. Find some white shirts at the thrift store. Waqsh and blech them to a glowing white. Spray starch and iron them and you have a fashion basic that is great with so many looks. Sometimes I like the men's shirts and you can roll the sleeves, or wrap the tails of the shirt around your waist and add a brooch. Black tee shirts look grat on theiro own with an armful of bracelets or under a completer piece like a cardigan or jacket. They are seasonless and classic.

This dress is by Jones of New York. It came with a matching green belt but I decided to use my leopard skinny belt. Paired with my natural wedges I like this look. The dress also comes in teal and I had to get that one too because they are on sale at Macys.
I'm buying things from thrift stores and giving them a coat of paint. These images inspire me. I hope they inspire you this week too.
